In the course of their teaching, student teachers design and use assessments that allow them to determine what their students are learning. For this assignment, you will build on the unit plan you created in the fall by reviewing your learning goals and then designing, using, and analyzing formal and informal assessments that address those goals. The description of the assignment and its evaluation rubric are at the link below:
Though the project calls for you to select representative examples of student work, you should begin by collecting a class set of each assignment, i.e. your formal and informal assessments, to begin your analysis. These samples will not be posted, but will be used for in-class analysis activities.
You will need to include three examples of student work that are representative. This may require you to scan in some student papers. Here is a summary of where scanners are available on campus. You can also use a scanner app to photograph each page with your iPad or smartphone.
Please use the template, EDC 484 S10 Assessment Project, to structure your project.
Here are some exemplar assignments from previous years:
This project is common for all secondary level student teachers. When you've completed your project, you will need to save it as a PDF file and then upload it to Task Stream.
